Because 7 x 3 = 21 and since you have that 0.1, if you run a sub-21 min 5K you ran all miles under 7 min. And that just sounds cool to me. It's possible to run a 5km alm...Run more races. It's possible to run a 5km almost every week, and still run hard workouts during the week. Once you get comfortable RACING the distance the speed won't seem so overwhelming!<br /><br />Also, short intervals - really work on your leg speed. Strides at the end of easy runs make a massive difference I find!<br /><br />Running Times has a great article on their site called 'train like a miler, race like a pro" - it's got some good session suggestions! I'll see if I can find it.<br /><br />Oh, and what mileage are you running at the moment? If you've been running heaps, maybe reduce how much you're running but turn more sessions into quality work.
